synopsis: A Chinese student artist becomes deeply drawn to a man she just meets, but the day after their first date, she is confronted with the bittersweet realization that the timing is all wrong.
director’s statement: The story originates from my belief in embracing vulnerability with the right person and appreciating life as it flows—accepting that many endings don’t align with our desires. I want to celebrate the moments when two people who cherish each other share time and space, without the need for conclusions. At the same time, as someone without permanent residency in the U.S., “leaving” is a recurring and deeply personal theme in my life. My background and experiences provide the foundation for this narrative.
